Part I - On our way to the Car Rental Company

Our 1st task for the morning (keeping our finger cross) was to make our way
to the car rental company, in this case, Hertz. We were hoping that they will be kind enough to take pity on us and allow us to rent their car with a scanned copy of the driving licence. Ya, we were naive, but at least if we try, there is a 50% chance of getting it, haha. But.. our luck wasn't that good, they turned us down, even though we tried hard to convince them that we really need the car in order for us to make our trip to Perth fruitful. They are very stringent; to drive around Perth, a driving licence is compulsory.

Sigh...dejected were we...we strolled down the streets, somewhat determined to find another way. We came across a car rental company called Budget. That is our survivor. The woman was kind enough to tell us that we could actually apply for a signed authorisation from our Singapore Traffic Police to verify that we are indeed holding a valid car licence. Marvellous! Yippee!
There comes our another survivor, i.e. dear's good pal. He has kindly agreed to make a trip down to the Traffic Police the next day to help us obtain the authorisation. We were truly grateful to him and finally I can also see my dear SMILE =)
And here we are, finally able to start our 1st journey along Perth City with a peace of mind.
