Perth Day 3 (060409) - Our way down to Mandura Town

Finally, thanks to my dear's good pal, we managed to get the authorisation from the Traffic Police on his driving license. Phew...what a relieve! We bade temporary farewell to Perth and head down to Margaret River, the beginning of our 400Km journey, which we target to finish before dusk.

We reached our 1st 200Km at Mandura Town, settling our lunch at Cicerello's - West Australia No.1 Fish and Chips. Lunch was wonderful by the jetty, accompanied by the deep blue sea and the gentle sea breeze. This was a good chance for my dear to rest his tired legs. Poor him, he has to shoulder the responsibilities of being the driver for the entire trip and thanks to his dear who do not know how to drive at all! Hmmm...actually I do feel bad throughout the trip, not being able to help him with the wheel. Thus, I was contemplating whether to take up driving when I return home and this means that I will have to give up my luxury of being chaffeured around...=(

We were welcomed by Simmo's Ice-cream and devil's horns started to appear as we hurried to the ice-cream parlour to grab our dose. Our failure to resist the temptation earns us another kg.

Mandura Town by itself is real quiet place with hardly any souls around. However, we felt that it was a rather good place to relax and this ends our day at Mandura as we continue on the rest of our journey...another 200km to Margaret River....
